Egbo was attempting to board an Air France flight to Paris, France, when a body scanner revealed he had wraps of illicit drugs in his stomach. He was placed under observation at the agency's exhibit recovery room, where he excreted 93 pellets of heroin weighing 2.222 kilograms. NDLEA agents also seized 10 cartons containing 500,000 pills of tramadol 225mg branded as tapentadol and an attempt by another passenger to export 11.100kgs of skunk and 600 grams of tramADol. The agency has been targeting drug trafficking in Nigerian airports, both in passengers' luggage and in their bodies.

He was apprehended while attempting to board an Air France flight to Paris, France, after they discovered he had ingested illicit drugs. The arrest occurred on October 14 when a body scanner revealed he had wraps of illicit drugs in his stomach. The suspect was subsequently placed under observation at the agency's exhibit recovery room, where he excreted 93 pellets of heroin weighing 2.222 kilograms. He claimed to work at a chicken hatchery farm in Madrid, Spain, and to be involved in drug trafficking.Additionally, NDLEA operatives seized a consignment of 10 cartons containing 500,000 pills of tramadol 225mg branded as tapentadol, and frustrated an attempt by another passenger to export 11.100kgs of skunk and 600 grams of tramadol. These drugs were concealed in foodstuffs and were to be exported to through Lagos airport. NDLEA has been actively targeting drug trafficking at Nigerian airports, both in passengers' luggage and in their bodies.
