Rebecca Loos Says David Beckham 'Needs to Take Responsibility' for Alleged Affair
Loos slammed the soccer star in a new interview with the 'Daily Mail,' calling David out for playing the 'victim' when discussing the allegations in his new Netflix documentary. Rebecca Loos, former assistant to David Beckham, has called for him to take responsibility for an alleged affair that reportedly occurred in 2003 when Loos was serving as David's assistant. She accused him of portraying himself as the victim and making her look like a liar. The affair reportedly occurred during the time of David's transfer to Real Madrid. While David had moved to Spain after his transfer, Victoria remained behind with their sons, Brooklyn and Romeo. The rumors led to the couple feeling like they were against each other and the world, leading to Victoria's move to Spain. Loos has previously responded to backlash on social media following the doc.

"He needs to take responsibility. He can say whatever he likes, of course, and I understand he has an image to preserve, but he is portraying himself as the victim and he's making me look like a liar, like I've made up these stories," she added of the alleged affair, which reportedly went down in 2003 when Loos was serving as David's assistant.
"Yes, the stories were horrible, but they're true," Loos maintained. "He talks in the documentary about this ultimately being his private life, shutting it down. I think it's one thing to keep your private life to yourself. It's another thing to mislead the public."
"So many people had forgotten about all of this," Loos added. "So many people put all this behind them, this whole affair, the scandal and everything. And he's dragged it back up again in a way that is affecting my reputation."
She continued, "I think if he was going to touch on this time and how difficult it was, it would have been really nice for him to have said, 'It was not my proudest time.' But he specifically made it look like... my fault, that he had nothing to do with this."
While David had moved to Spain following his transfer to Real Madrid, Victoria stayed behind in the U.K. with their sons, Brooklyn and Romeo. The weight of the rumors, however, had the couple feeling like they were against each other and the world, prompting Victoria to move to Spain to be by her husband's side.
She continued, "And here's the thing, we were against each other if I'm being completely honest. You know, up until Madrid, sometimes it felt like us against everybody else, but we were together, we were connected, we had each other. But when we were in Spain, it didn't really feel like we had each other either. And that's sad."
"Victoria is everything to me, to see her hurt was incredibly difficult, but we're fighters, and at that time we needed to fight for each other, we needed to fight for our family," David said. "And what we had was worth fighting for."
Loos, who previously responded to the backlash she received on social media following the doc, told the Daily Mail that at the end of the day, she's deeply sorry for what happened and the way it was handled.
"I was very sorry for what I had done and the way I handled it," Loos said. "But life's biggest mistakes are the best lessons learned. I want people to be happy I want families to be happy. I don't want to break things up."
